Frederick Donates: $26,300

Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine” and have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.

The Charities

SOAR (Supporting Older Adults Through Resources)
Leslie Schultz
A Voice For Our Seniors

SOAR is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization with no paid staff. We formed our board through a desire to make a difference in the lives of older adults who have challenges meeting their basic needs in a confidential, respectful and dignified manner. These challenges may be financial, access to needed resources, or perhaps education as to what is available to older adults, their families, and caregivers, to help ease those burdens.

Up & Out Foundation, Inc.
Sam Owens
Overcoming Addiction

The Up & Out Foundation is a non-profit with a mission to educate the public about the disease of addiction, the consequences of untreated addiction, and the process of recovery. Every day, many die from the disease of alcoholism and addiction, and every day far less recover from the disease, but it doesn’t have to be that way. By raising awareness, we can help turn the tide of the battle against this chronic disease.

Growing Our Future

The Frederick Food Security Network (FFSN) is a community gardening program developed by Hood College. Since its beginning in 2017, we have been successfully working with community partners to establish a network of gardens in Frederick, MD with three goals in mind. We aim to: 1) improve food security for residents of local food deserts; 2) promote food justice and healthful eating habits.
