As a 501c3 nonprofit Anti-bulling Organization who serves the city of Yuma County’s youth in its vision to provide a safe after school environment for the mission to empower victims of dominance behavior (Bullying) to be resilient and respectful through the art of the gentle way, while healing and understanding the offender through our Anti-Bullying initiative, Battered and Bullied No More. BRAG recognizes the ongoing epidemic of dominance behavior (Bullying) within the city of Yuma and throughout the Nation. Bullying is one type of youth violence that threatens young people’s well-being. Bullying can result in physical injuries, social and emotional difficulties, and academic problems. The harmful effects of bullying are frequently felt by others, including friends and families, and can hurt the overall health and safety of schools, neighborhoods, and society. There is a strong link between bullying and suicide, as suggested by recent bullying-related suicides in the U.S. and other countries. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the CDC. Our project initiatives purpose is to curb this epidemic with our teaching Philosophy, The Art of the Gentle Way.
