They Did It!

“Impact Venture Capitalists!”

Hello Team…

Big congrats to Impact Club Frederick. Because of the heart and tenacity of each member, Impact Club Frederick is the first Impact Club to reach 200 members. That is quite a feat. It demonstrates the heart of their community.

More important though? 200+ Impact Venture Capitalists, means a quarterly donation of more than $20,000 to benefit a local charity; that can fund a massive amount of good.

At the Impact Club Frederick event, Mike Greenberg, on behalf of Frederick Rescue Mission, spoke about the debilitating effect of being homeless and addicted to drugs. To quote him, directly;

“There was actually a time… when, uh…. Death was a comforting thought.”

Addict or not…

Homeless or not…

That’s was a shocking statement. But also a powerful statement, attached to a very important message about hope and optimism. In fact. My production team was in Frederick that night, to capture Mike’s story:

He’s a young guy.

I hope you listen to his message:

Travis Crow, co-founder Impact Club Yuma, recently spotlighted a Yuma charity too, bringing awareness to the work they doing in regards to drug addiction. Here’s some of that feedback, from Impact Club members:

Ron Van Why:

“Travis Crow, if you were to interview and addict, they will tell you that the words hold true, they are an addict on recovery for the rest of their lives, One day at a Time! Myra Garlit, and Barb Rochester are doing great things over there!”

Amanda Beltran:

“This place certainly saved my life and now I am in a place to help them! Amazing how life works!”

Jen Sellers:

“It’s nice to hear of people learning more about what Crossroads Mission does for people with drug addictions. I didn’t know very much about them except for feeding, housing and clothing people until my brother went through their program. It was amazing to see the transformation he went through. He went from being hopeless, lost and going in a very wrong direction to strong, self confident and back on his feet. He’s stronger now than the brother I knew before the addiction. When we were able to attend his graduation, it was one of the happiest days of my life. I was so proud of him and thankful to Crossroads for teaching him how to be whole again, how to be himself without the drugs again. Thank you for sharing this. I think that what you all are doing with the Impact Club is great and I can’t wait to see what the impact it has on our community. Thank you.”

Dusti Shuck:

“I’m so proud of what you are doing with the Impact Club. Great job”

Mark Hamm:

“Recovery programs are great, they saved my life…but I don’t necessarily believe once an addict always an addict…I’m a rare case, but once I decided for me personally that it was NOT a disease, that it was no one’s fault but mine and that I was 100% responsible for either using, or not using…I got clean and stayed clean…I saw a counselor to work thru some shit, acupuncture, massage therapy, healthy food…I was done…no meetings, no church , nothing but “it’s all on me”…it’s t not what I’d recommend to others but I no longer consider myself an addict… What you’re doing is awesome brother”

1 – You’ll get 3 more Free Impact Club T-shirts

2 – In the final 10 days, leading up to the 3/29 Event, you’ll be an integral part of a concerted effort to spread the word about Impact Club – to help us reach 200 members. For the Ambassadors though who are, although daunting, this will lead to great pride and recognition. (EVERY MORNING WE WILL COORDINATE FOR 5 MINUTES!)

3 – Ambassadors Are People Who Feel Called To Inspire Others!

4 – Ambassadors Are People Willing To Be Leaders

5 – Ambassadors Are People Brave Enough To Fight For Something

6 – Ambassadors Are Impact Venture Capitalists

7 – Ambassadors Are The Most Committed Impact Club Members

================

The mission of Impact Club Northern VA is to 200 Impact Club members prior to their March 29th event – it’ll be interesting to see if they can get there. I believe they can. Especially if a few more Impact Club Spartans!!! step up as Ambassadors.

(Note:

Impact Club “Ambassadors” launching in other Clubs soon)

KEEP INSPIRING OTHERS!

By the end of 2017, we will have raised millions to fund local charities.
