For the update, I want to give Kevin Evers the mic, Impact Club Fox Cities co-founder.

$12,000 donated Monday night in Wisconsin.

His words:

I will never grow tired of the selflessness of this community. On Monday night, in just one hour, 120 world-changers came together to make an impact right here in the Fox Cities!

Three local charities, Wisconsibs, Community Benefit Tree and Center for Suicide Awareness (see the brief descriptions below), shared some amazing stories. We will have a recap video available in a couple weeks for you to see the highlights from the event.

When it came time to vote, someone asked me if they could vote for all 3 charities. I think he was only half joking. It shows how tough the decision was.

All 3 charities would have been deserving of the vote. Unfortunately, we could only select one of them to get this quarter’s donation. In the end, Center for Suicide Awareness had the most votes and was the recipient of our donation.

Back in June, we held our first event. We were the 8th Impact Club to launch. At that time, we had 90 members and donated $9,000 to Jake’s Diapers.

The first Impact Club event was held in Northern Virginia last December. Since that initial event, we have expanded to 12 chapters nationwide. There has been a total of 18 events and collectively we have donated over $284,000 to local charities.

At last count, with our current membership nationwide, our annual committed donations is over $650,000, with $48,000 of that committed right here in the Fox Cities!

Each and every Impact Club member is a part of this. We are changing the world.

And we are just getting started!

In November, we have plans to launch a couple more chapters, one of those in New Zealand.

Yes, Impact Club is going INTERNATIONAL!

I am amazed at how this chapter has grown over these last few months. It started with that first committed member on May 15th. At last count, we sit at 120 members. That is amazing. That growth is 100% organic. We didn’t pay for any ads. Just folks like you spreading the word. Telling your friends. And them telling their friends.

Together, we are creating (soon to be) the largest community of giving individuals on earth.

I had someone tell me last week that instead of getting a gift for his birthday, he decided to come tonight and donate his $100 to the winning charity. Another couple celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary decided to join the Impact Club to make their donation together 4 times a year.

This is the kind of selflessness that exists here in the Fox Cities. I don’t know about you, but I’m damn proud to call this place home.

OUR MEDIA SITE IS ALMOST HERE!

I was going to make a point today about the ‘damaging belief’ that one needs to be perfect before they begin: writing, speaking, publishing, distributing their message, but I think I’ll hold off on that until next week.

I’ll end by saying, my team and I are working hard to input all the data from the previous events.

The media site is just about complete.

It will host all the Event documentaries as well as the Local Talks – bringing greater distribution to these great local charities and their founders. More people absolutely need to hear these stories!
