Yuma: Donates $18,500

Through Impact Club, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning a high-stakes competition. As a result, Impact Club, through Impact Venture Capitalism has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.

The Charities

The Humane Society Of Yuma
Cristyn Weil
Rescuing Abused Animals

The Humane Society of Yuma is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that was incorporated in 1963.  The mission of the organization is to reduce the number of homeless pets through rescue, adoption and spay and neuter programs. HSOY sees the worst of the worst with regards to the animals in our community.  Severely neglected, injured, abused and unwanted animals enter our facility daily with over 8,100 animals entering our shelter yearly. As we continue to spay and neuter over 4,500 animals a year we are confident that we will continue to decrease the amount of animals that enter our shelter on a daily basis.

Yuma Territorial FFA Alumni
Brennan Amos
Youth In Technical Education

Our mission as the Yuma Territorial FFA Alumni is to promote youth in technical education in all of the Yuma area high schools. With more than 650,000 members nationwide, the FFA encourages youth to be a part of something bigger than themselves. With that comes some cost. Some of the local members can’t afford the $60 for an official jacket and tie. We support all students in need of the funds so that they don’t feel inadequate borrowing a jacket from the chapter closet. We provide coaches, advice and supplies so that our students have all of the information to win at state and national level events.

Adult Literacy Program
Bill Regenhardt
Providing Adult Education

Since 1981, ALPS has adhered to its mission of providing rigorous instruction for adults designed to enhance the skills necessary for success in reading/language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, civics, and English language acquisition needed for today’s workforce. We introduce adult learners to the necessary skills to become self-sufficient, productive, and technologically competent workers within our community. Our highly qualified instructors lead students to succeed in completing their high school equivalency and pursue a postsecondary education and career pathway.
