Theatre For All

Theatre for All is Wilmington’s only theatre company for people with disabilities. It was established in 2015 by Dylan Patterson, Gina Gambony and Kim Henry, following a semester of profoundly successful theatre outreach work at Laney High School. Dedicated to the power of theatre to create positive change within communities, we believe that everyone deserves access to the arts. Our official Theatre for All Company is open to actors between 14-45+, and our extensive outreach program brings arts into High Schools and Transitions programs across the county. Creating original productions together, Theatre for All serves people with disabilities who have little access to the arts, and provides them with the opportunity to shine. As part of the Theatre Network of Wilmington, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit company, Theatre for All continues to evolve. In three years we’ve doubled our student body to reach 80-90 students a week and our performances to six a year. Theatre for All builds bridges with dozens of teachers and hundreds of family members who are able to celebrate their child’s accomplishments. Furthermore, our high quality shows allow the wider community to recognize the unique talents and strengths of people with disabilities. We have consistently funded our growth, and in January 2018, we were able to officially appoint co-founder Kim Henry as our Executive Director. Theatre for All is ready to take our exciting next step.
