The Good News Community Kitchen

Hunger robs children of a chance to learn, undermines health, and makes obtaining and retaining good employment even more difficult. Each year, over 540,000 DC, MD, and VA residents receive access to healthy food. T.G.N.C.K. is a 501(c)3 organization that provides hunger relief to Veterans, students, senior citizens, survivors of domestic violence, and families who identify being food insecure and/or in need in the Northern Virginia, and D.C. Metropolitan. Our mission is to rebuild and strengthen communities by fighting hunger one meal at a time. We visualize citizens throughout Virginia and the D.C. area uniting together to facilitate clothing drives, assist women and men transitioning back into the workforce, distribute hygiene bags and meals-to-go to the hungry, collect coats and blankets to distribute to the unsheltered to keep warm in the winter. T.G.N.C.K. operates off of volunteerism and donations provided by concerned individuals who value and share the same vision and desire to serve the public. We appreciate all donations in the form of time, effort, monetary donations, and supplies/equipment, and are always looking for volunteers to assist with meal preparations, meal deliveries, drives, and production of hygiene bags.
