Temecula Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars

According to the United States Census Bureau in 2016-17 there were 15,359 Veterans living the cities of Temecula and Murrieta. In 2016 the Temecula Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4089 had 250 members. Today the Post has over 450 members and is growing weekly. In 2017 our fundraising efforts raised over $30k thousand dollars. That same year we provided Veterans support of over $50k thousand dollars. This support consisted of job search, food, clothing, payment of rent, mortgages, utilities, car payments and medical deductibles. We also provided assistance to veterans with service connected medical claims to include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and (TBI). During the holidays we provide 100 Turkeys to veterans for Thanksgiving and presents for all the children of veterans for Christmas for both communities. We have been very blessed with donations and contributions to close the gap on the cost of supporting our veterans but the with the growing demand we require even more support and we have exhausted a lot of our building funds expanding and up grading our Post. We continue to make it work and live up to coined phrase “the smallest Post that does the most”.
