SOAR (Supporting Older Adults Through Resources)

SOAR is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization with no paid staff. We formed our board through a desire to make a difference in the lives of older adults who have challenges meeting their basic needs in a confidential, respectful, and dignified manner. These challenges may be financial, access to needed resources, or perhaps education as to what is available to older adults, their families, and caregivers, to help ease those burdens. Many older adults who have served our country, communities, and families in countless ways now struggle to meet their basic needs. Through the efforts of SOAR, we pledge to help alleviate those burdens. We provide financial assistance to help them obtain essential needs such as physician-ordered medications, food, transportation, and in-home support, to name a few. The founding members of SOAR collectively have over 80 years of experience working on behalf of older adults, their families, and caregivers, and all share a passion for making a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable population. We strive to be a voice that encourages our community to come together to make a difference in the lives of seniors and assist as many seniors as possible with connections to services in our local community.
