Frederick Rescue Mission
The Frederick Rescue Mission has been serving the Frederick area since 1964. We are a Christ-centered ministry providing residential recovery programs to the homeless or chemically addicted, food to the hungry, clothing and furniture to the needy and connections within our community through relationships. At the Mission, every program and service is driven by the desire to introduce people to Jesus Christ. Our goal to meet basic human needs and equip others to do the same. To this end the Mission served over 133,000 meals, served over 1,000 cold weather shelter clients and utilized over 5,000 clothing visits. The Mission’s Food Distribution Center serves over 4,500 unduplicated households, representing over 16,000 individuals, 75 percent of which are women and children. In 2017 the Mission utilized over 31,000 volunteer hours. The Mission is privately funded, receiving donations from our community to operate all of our programs and services.
