Franciscan Health Foundation

Since the first Franciscan Health Hospital in the United States was created in 1875, Franciscan Health has stayed true to our founding Mission to care for everyone who comes through our doors. We treat our patients with the best possible care by following the guiding ethical values embodied by our founding congregation, the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration. Always mindful of our Christian stewardship to the Roman Catholic Church, we minister with joy, care and compassion according to the ideals of St. Francis of Assisi and our foundress, Mother Maria Theresia Bonzel. St. Francis continues to be a source of inspiration, as we fulfill our Mission of “Continuing Christ’s Ministry in our Franciscan Tradition” by loving and caring for the “least” among us—the unloved, the poor, the person with no health insurance, the person who is shunned by society today. Within our means, we turn no one away. The Franciscan Health Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of our Franciscan Mission. We focus on building impactful relationships with individuals, corporations and Foundations who want to Make a Difference by saving lives, changing lives and giving hope to the hopeless. Gifts to the Foundation help transform our communities.
