Boise Rescue Mission

In 1958, a group of people concerned for homeless people in Boise started a Mission to help feed and shelter them. Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is now the largest provider of services to homeless individuals in Idaho and continues its mission to teach the word of God and provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, medical care, education and job-search assistance for men, women and children in need. Boise Rescue Mission Ministries (BRMM) meets the basic needs of homeless people by providing food, shelter and clothing as well as effective programs that inspire hope and equip individuals with knowledge and practical skills to help them triumph over homelessness and become self-sufficient. BRMM operates three facilities in Boise and three in Nampa that change hundreds of lives each year through programs specializing in life-skills training, addiction treatment, employment and housing. At all of its facilities combined in 2017, BRMM served 373,237 nutritious meals, provided 150,891 warm beds, distributed 83,737 items of clothing, and transitioned over 650 individuals out of the Mission and into independent housing.
