Update: The Origin Myth.

“Impact Venture Capitalists!”

Morning Team!…

I spent all day yesterday working on the final content needed to launch the new infrastructure later this month. What we’ve built, I’m talking to you, will have a huge impact on local charities.

Below is a screenshot of what each charity Speaker’s talk will look like.

– Full video presentation.

– Full charity description.

– Links to their website.

– The works.

But in writing the Mission page, for the new website, this is what I wrote:

===

In the book The Upstarts by Brad Stone, detailing the rise of companies like Airbnb and Uber he writes, “Every company creates it’s own origin myth. It’s a useful tool for expressing the company’s values t employees and the world and for simplifying and messaging history to give due credit to the people who made the most important contributions back when it all started…”

He then makes the point that most of the myths are exaggerated, true in direction. But with creative license in terms of the details.

I care not to exaggerate.

Nor do I need any creative license.

On our homepage, you can watch the exact vision I laid before my entrepreneurial friends that day in Orlando. Hurricane Matthew raged outside, while I walked through the details. How Impact Club could be built. How it could be amplified. How within a decade, it could be one of the most effective brands in the world, donating hundreds of millions to local charities.

We have a long way to go. But our mission remains unchanged. To inspire the uninspired through the Game of Impact Club and Sport of Elevated Philanthropy, to grow and strengthen the Chain of Inspiration one new Worldchanger at a time.

I hope you join us.

To inspire all those around you.

That video at the bottom will be the first in the series being put together to explain every detail. I won’t have them all done, at the time of launch. But, week by week, I’ll knockout another.

Better to start, then wait for perfection. (Nothing is ever perfect.)

As for that original Vision?

You, of course, have seen it many times – (that crazy idea – that came to Life!)

Btw, look at that patchy, terrible beard 🙂

KEEP INSPIRING OTHERS!

Once we launch the new infrastructure and work through the process of transitioning all current members, in each local Impact Club, to the new members’ site. We’ll start launching new clubs.

That is, after all, my favorite part. To see the creation of that initial nucleus in each local community. Those folks, “Your voice is more powerful than your money,” then inspire others.
