“Impact Venture Capitalists!”

Ooo-rah! Team…

One of the things I’m most excited about, once our new infrastructure launches, is the member Profiles Pages. Part of inspiring others, is to powerfully convey how you’re making an impact yourself.

“Lead by example!” isn’t that how it goes?

Sure, there are the event videos! And the speaker videos! and we’ve released many of those. Collectively, members have shared those (thousands of times). But individually, how do we convey that we do more?

This where the (public) Profile Pages come in. (mock-up shown below)

You’ll be able to customize them.

Add social media links.

The statistics will be updated, automatically, the moment your Impact Club makes another investment in a local charity. On top of that, you can add your story. You can provide invitation to others to join you. You can link to them from an email signature, add them to a business card…

Put them a link to it on a job application.

As an employer, I’m significantly more likely to hire a person who demonstrates a deep care for others, over the person who doesn’t. Or can’t. Trust. Our reputation, it all comes down to how folks perceive us.

I want someone to see that Profile Page.

I want them to see that you’re an Impact Venture Capitalist.

That you have these 10 DNA traits. (That we all have as Impact Club members)

That you care.

That you’re committed to impacting the lives of others.

And, above all else. That your word and commitment is your bond. Which of course, starts with that first impression. Everyone, at all times, is judging us. And they’re asking themselves:

Can I trust this person?

Does this person have strong Character?

What has this person done – to actually live by the words he or she speaks?

Folks.

I want every person on this planet to know, Impact Club members are not just committed to impacting their local community. But that, together. This Community is one of higher morals and ethics.

And that we choose to live by that code.

Thank you to Impact Club Boise member, Jamie Ellsworth, a registered intellectual property attorney. She is helping us, from a legal standpoint, to protect what we’ve built. After all, if Impact Club is going to stand for something of great worth. It must be protected and be able to fight back against anyone who seeks to dilute it.
