It All Happened Organically.

“Impact Venture Capitalists!”

Hello Team…

I’m a businessperson and you all know that. Which means, you also know I’m a student of great “brands.” Whether it be Nike, or Apple, or Under Armor and how that brand has been built. Or even Toms Shoes…

But most of these “brands,” I’ve never seen one built as fast as Impact Club. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not suggesting that Impact Club has the kind of global recognition as those others brands mentioned have. But we definitely have something. And that’s commitment and conviction to what we’re doing.

Members like Phillip Thomas, Temecula Impact Club, don’t create “Impact Club Art” as featured above, if there isn’t a feeling of connection to it. A quick Facebook search, reveals dozens of folks sporting the Impact Club “brand.” The best part? It didn’t happen because some “famous athlete” was paid to endorse it or because millions were put behind some advertising campaign.

Nope!

It’s all happened all organic. And you know what? It’s now happening in Frederick, MD, just as it happened in Northern VA and Temecula. February 28th, the 3rd Impact Club launches. And already, Impact Club Frederick, 86 founding members; Impact Venture Capitalists who who decided to join our ranks.

BREAKING NEWS:

The 4th Impact Club set to launch – Yuma, AZ.

Soon, criss-crossing the United States, Canada, and abroad, the Impact Club “brand,” that is 100% the result of every Impact Venture Capitalist like Phillip, will be instantly recognizable and stand for one thing:

IMPACT CLUB:

“The Strongest Community in Every Community!”

Be proud. I certainly am.

THE BIGGER MISSION

Like most parents, I send me kids off to school everyday. I give them hugs and kisses. I wish them well. I hope they learn, have fun, grow smart. But I also know, school will never teach them the skill they’ll need most.

Which is the skill of being a Professional Storyteller.

And no, this isn’t a knock against teachers. Nor the school system. My wife is a kindergarten teacher, and she (like so many other teachers) are phenomenal at what they do. Teach. But teachers, of course, are limited in what they can teach. There are “standards” and “curriculum” that must be followed.

And last time I checked, there was no method of “standardized testing” for the power of a particular story. Story is one of those things: It either moves you. Or it doesn’t. It either inspires you and entertains you. Or it doesn’t.

The ultimate power of story, though, is the ability to Create. Literally anything. Businesses. Stronger relationships. Successful partnerships. Whatever you want in life, you’re going to need to tell someone a story.

And that story you tell, either people are going to believe in it and want to be a part of it, or they’re not. Want a job? You better tell the best story. Want funding for your idea? You better tell the best story?

Just watch a few episodes of Shark Tank.

Impact Club is the ultimate proof of this truth, which is: The ultimate power of Story is the ability to Create. Because if you step back and look at it, Impact Club – ALL IT IS – is a story. There is nothing tangible.

Impact Club started as an idea, nothing else. From that, it was built into a concept.

I simply told a Story.

My co-founders, Ryan Sloper, Josh Painter, Eric Verdi, among others, then heard that story and wanted to join in the mission to “bring Impact Club” to life. So they perpetuated the story in their local market.

You and others heard that Story. It inspired you. So you shared it.

Fast forward…

Next thing you know…

That Story has been heard 25,000+ times. And over $160,000 in secured donation commitments have resulted, from just the three Impact Clubs; totaling membership of 402 Impact Venture Capitalists.

So…

Here’s my dirty little secret:

Impact Club is my way of bringing Story to the World – (a legacy for all of us).

Stay tuned.

THE STORY IS SPREADING

Yesterday, I got this email.

It’s from Jeff Marchant, who sent it after hearing about Impact Club

Hey Ryan, I appreciate you, your message and your movement and I hope to be a part of it. My wife and I have always been in business together.

From owning and running a successful landscape business through our 20’s and early 30’s, to remodeling and “flipping” dozen’s of single-family homes, to building a real estate portfolio for retirement which we self-manage.

After 26 years of marriage we are not only business partners, but we are best friends and enjoy spending every day together. Our different personalities, strengths and weaknesses are very complimentary to each other. Life is good! I like to bring her onboard with my pursuits, get on the same page, so that we may journey together.

What you have put out so far (I know you are building this out much deeper than you have revealed so far) has me thinking of it daily, and I so much want to be a part of it. I am amazed at the genius, and the depth of your vision of Impact Club! Lynn also, after watching the highlight video of Painter’s successful launch particularly, commented: “Now THAT is something I would LOVE to be a part of! THAT is something that I am passionate about! How do we get involved?” I hope that being a part of Impact Club someday is yet another thing Lynn and I can do together. Impacting the lives of others through Impact Club would be the most important, the most meaningful, fulfilling and rewarding thing we have ever been a part of.

Thank you for all that you do…

Jeff and his wife Lynn, are in Utah. Later this year Impact Club will launch there too, in several cities!

KEEP INSPIRING OTHERS!

By the end of 2017, we will have raised millions to fund local charities.
