Union City: Donates $4,800

Through Impact Club, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, Impact Club, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.

Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation
Rosanna McDonald
Enhancing Health

Since 1958, Washington Hospital Healthcare System has been providing for the healthcare needs of residents in the Tri City area including Fremont, Union City, Newark, southern Hayward and unincorporated Sunol. Over the years, we have grown into a major provider. We pride ourselves in being tuned into community need and adapting services to care for our population. Washington on Wheels mobile clinic is one example of how we care for our residents. This program removes the obstacle of transportation for our low-income patients by bringing services to various locations.

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation
Annette Lewellyn
A Soft Place To Fall

2018 marks a tremendous milestone for HERS Breast Cancer Foundation – our 20th anniversary of community service. Established by a team of dynamic women – a breast health consultant, a fundraising executive, and a tax consultant who was a breast cancer survivor – their motivation was concern for individuals with breast cancer, the disease risks, and the lack of specific support services. Two decades later, we continue to fulfill the HERS mission: to support all individuals healing from breast cancer by providing post-surgical products and services, regardless of their financial status.
