Union City Donates $5000.00

Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine” and have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.

The Charities

LIFE ElderCare
Deepa Chordiya
Support for Senior Citizens

LIFE ElderCare provides the basics of life – food, friendship, support, and enhanced mobility – to seniors, age 60 and older. Meals On Wheels delivers hot, nutritious meals; Friendly Visitors provides weekly in-home companionship; Assisted Transportation links volunteers with seniors (and non-seniors with disabilities) who need destination assistance; and Fall Prevention offers in-home, personalized services to reduce the risk of falling. For those with more complex needs, we also offer case management and care coordination. All services are provided free to residents of Alameda County.

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation
Kirstin Litz
A Safe Place to Fall

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1998 by three dynamic women: Tricia J. McMahon, a breast health consultant, Cheryl A. Maloney, a fundraising executive, and Nancy J. Vital, a tax consultant. They were motivated by concern for women and the high incidence of breast cancer as well as the lack of specific services for breast cancer survivors. HERS is an acronym for “Hope, Empowerment, Renewal, and Support” — the feelings we strive to restore in all our patients. Our mission is to support all individuals healing from breast cancer by providing postsurgical products and services regardless of financial status.
