Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.
The Charities
The Sweet Julia Grace Foundation (SJGF) based in Bristow, VA, supports local families whose children are facing more than most do their entire life. For these children, the simple joys of childhood are often put aside and replaced with hospital stays, therapy appointments, and adapted equipment to meet their special day- to-day needs.
While most charities focus on the needs of the entire family (housing, food, etc.), AK focuses on the child’s unique needs that could affect their self-esteem. Working with a network of approx. 500 teachers, social workers and others, we pay for prom tickets, field trips, summer camps, chorus outfits, track shoes and other items that mean a lot to that child as they relate to their peers.
We provide therapeutic riding and equine-assisted therapy to children and adults with physical, intellectual, development, and behavioral challenges. We don’t only touch lives but we change lives one hoofbeat at a time. Handling and riding horses instill confident, energy control, and self-esteem all aspects usually missing in the lives’ of people dealing with disabilities.
