Northern Virginia Donates $10,700

Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine” and have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.

The Charities

Cold Cap-Ital Fund
Liz Lord
Battling Cancer

Launched in late 2017, Cold Capital Fund provides financial assistance to DC/MD/VA chemotherapy patients who want to prevent hair loss using scalp cooling/cold caps but cannot afford it. Hair loss is the most devastating side effect of chemotherapy. Nearly 10% of cancer patients will opt out of treatment because of it and over 50% of cancer patients consider hair loss the most traumatic aspect of chemotherapy. Now FDAcleared, scalp cooling works. Yet, the technology is not covered by insurance and remains expensive. It’s out of reach for many cancer patients

Prince William County Public Schools Education Foundation
Tawnya Soltis
Early Childhood Education

Smart Beginnings Greater Prince William (SBGPW) is the only area organization exclusively dedicated to advocating for quality early childhood health and education programs for children ages 0 – 5 years. Working with parents, educators, health providers, and businesses to deliver these resources to prepare children for school and life

Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center
Tom Swanston
One Hoofbeat at a Time

We provide therapeutic riding and equine-assisted therapy to children and adults with physical, intellectual, development, and behavioral challenges. We don’t only touch lives but we change lives one hoofbeat at a time. Handling and riding horses instill confident, energy control, and self-esteem all aspects usually missing in the lives’ of people dealing with disabilities. Our “at-risk” students return to regular school settings and are able to live with their parents and families instead of residential facilities.
