Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.
The Charities
The Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation was formed in 2011 after our leader, Bettie Jane Bryant, received treatment for breast cancer. She realized the significant cost of health care and other expenses during her treatment. With her leadership, her dance students and staff organized the first Annual 5K Walk which started our journey to support local patients battling cancer. She continues to lead this walk each year; we celebrated our 10th annual walk this spring. This is one of the many events the all volunteer group supports each year.
The Richard Carbaugh Hope Foundation is an organization founded by his mother, Gina Carbaugh, in January 2014. The inspiration behind the establishment of the foundation is attributed to Richard, and his dream to help and support those suffering from drug addiction. His passion spawned from his own personal struggles and experience with addiction; which made his desire to help others that much stronger. Drug addiction can not only ruins lives, but take them as well.
Star Gazing Farm is a farm animal sanctuary that provides a permanent home for stray, neglected, and unwanted farm animals and offers a secure and enjoyable environment in which people can learn about their humane care. Among our primary activities are: a hands-on work-based educational program for youth; running an active network with animal control, other sanctuaries, and small farms that places unwanted and stray farm animals in loving homes.
