Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine” and have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.
The Charities
The Frederick Center exists to support and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) people and our families so we thrive, accepted and affirmed, in the broader Frederick community. The idea of The Frederick Center was initiated in January 2012 by Austin Beach, then a student at the local community college.
During a visit to Petersburg, VA, Federal Penitentiary, our founder witnessed the complete lack of resources for kids who were visiting loved ones, which extended beyond kids just going crazy in a waiting area. Seeing these kids’ in need, Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership (COIPP) was born.
At Love For Lochlin, we protect as many people as possible from the flu and other infectious diseases like it. L4L continues to coordinate clinics with our local health department, Frederick Health, FCPS, local organizations, and MD State Dept to see that those who need their access to covid-19 resources have them.
