Coeur d’Alene: Donates $11,100
Through Impact Club, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, Impact Club, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.
The Charities
Born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, former Marine, Matthew Wild was diagnosed with ALS in 2015. After learning about the horrible financial toll the disease can have on families without the support of the VA, he and his wife founded Matt’s Place Foundation. Together, their mission is to continue to spread awareness of the disease, as well as to build “smart homes” for families to live in while they navigate the disease. The foundation also provides families that need assistance with remodeling, such as ramps and bathroom remodels.
SUID (SIDS and sleep related accidental deaths) is the number one cause of death of our infants in the Idaho! Research shows 90% of these deaths are preventable accidents. Because of these heart- breaking statistics, they are dedicated to educating the public on safe infant sleep practices, bringing awareness to SIDS/SUID and providing emotional support to those who have suffered a pregnancy, infant or child loss. It is their mission to ensure every baby born in ID will have equal opportunity to reach their 1st birthday.
The Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County is a non-profit, youth development agency that has been running local programs since 2007. The Club is an alternative place for hundreds of kids to spend time during non- school hours instead of on the streets or home alone. Our Mission is to enable all young people; especially those who need us the most to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Through after school program and full day summer camps, we aim to assure success is within reach of every child who enters our doors.
