Boise Donates: $21,400
Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.
The Charities
Founded in 2000 by two alternative school teachers, Wilderness Science Education (dba Wild Science Explorers) is a non-profit organization that takes low income teens on 3-5 day science education trips down the Lower Salmon River and 1-2 day trips on the Snake River near Celebration Park. Participants study stream ecology, botany, and geology while also participating in natural resource monitoring and service projects for the BLM.
Formed to address the silent crisis of diaper need, Idaho Diaper Bank began in 2014 with a mission to provide diapers through a collaboration with other social service agencies that have direct client services. Diapers can’t be purchased with food stamps or WIC, and represent a significant portion of the monthly budget for the Idaho families struggling to provide basic necessities like food, shelter and hygiene.
In 1958, a group of people concerned for homeless people in Boise started a Mission to help feed and shelter them. Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is now the largest provider of services to homeless individuals in Idaho and continues its mission to teach the word of God and provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, medical care, education and job-search assistance for men, women and children in need.
