Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County
The Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County is a non-profit, youth development agency that has been running local programs since 2007. The Club is an alternative place for hundreds of kids to spend time during non- school hours instead of on the streets or home alone. Our Mission is to enable all young people; especially those who need us the most to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Through after school program and full day summer camps, we aim to assure success is within reach of every child who enters our doors. Paid professional staff in partnership with volunteers and dozens of partnering agencies run our successful daily programs. The Club focuses on: working toward high school graduation, dreaming of plans for their future, focus on good character and citizenship and living a healthy lifestyle.. Currently the Club serves over 3,500 registered members attending programs out of two Clubhouses in both Post Falls and Coeur d’ Alene, Today’s youth face enormous challenges that threaten their bright futures – including poverty, obesity, and the high school dropout crisis. Our goal is to instill in them a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.
