Through Impact Club, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, Impact Club, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.
The Charities
At the Wyakin Foundation, we emphasize the process of applying the cultural strengths of the veteran experience to create success in the academic setting as a precedent for success beyond. We serve the men and women who have served us through social and emotional support, professional development, strategic networking and employment search services, academic and career planning, financial assistance, and Community Impact experiences designed to fully prepare wounded and injured veterans for fulfilling post-military careers through development of critical skill sets as well as renewed sense of purpose and self-identity.
Giraffe Laugh Early Learning Centers provide early childhood education and nurturing to 210 children daily by ensuring school readiness, empowering families and building strong futures. Giraffe Laugh consists of four childcare and preschool centers that provide love and education for children 6 weeks to 5 years while their parents go to work or school. One of the four locations is at a high school for pregnant and parenting teens where the babies start at ten days old so their moms can get back to class as quickly as possible.
Teen Hope of Idaho was born out of need. Thru this program, we learned effective parenting techniques, and with the support of the program, we made positive changes within our family. Teen Hope provides families with the help we received from the residential program with additional, crucial services we knew families would need. Our mission is to establish a support system customized for each family’s needs. Our families receive counseling, mentoring, parent coaching, crisis calls, group therapy, experiential therapy, and we even have a parent support group.
