To neuter all animals and to educate the public on animal welfare preventing cruelty and abandonment of all animals. In addition to taking in stray and owned animals from the public, we also provide sheltering services for the cities of Hobart, Lake Station and New Chicago.
Women in Bloom (WIB) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2009 to benefit women with their personal and professional development. It is based in Valparaiso, Indiana and is a sister organization to Business Women United Network. The founder, Angela Crossin, along with her former business partner, saw a need to address the lack of resources and opportunities for women falling into lower socio-economic strata, young women, and female veterans. Both of them had family members who were involved in combat and know firsthand the personal sacrifices made by our military families.
