New Haven Schools Foundation

New Haven Schools Foundation lights the way for the leaders of tomorrow. Children are our future, and a rich educational experience is critical to their success. We work within the community to make exceptional student programs possible. We provide assistance at every grade level and reach every school in the New Haven Unified School District. The “Pathways to Success” community-based scholarship program helps graduating seniors to go on to higher education, which, for many, would be unthinkable without aid. In 2017, we awarded a record $135,000 in scholarships to students living in Union City and parts of Hayward. NHSF also provides grants to teachers with innovative ideas for classroom learning, like funding Lego robotics kits or providing interactive books to foster a love of reading in young children. Enrichment programs are essential to a well-rounded education, and we also fund activities like forensics, music, and the culinary arts. The Foundation is currently developing a new grant program – focused on critical STEM subjects – that is expected to launch during the 2017-2018 school year. Our ability to continue this important work for our students depends on community members just like you.
