Mid and South Canterbury Women’s Refuge

We have been delivering services to our clients in our area for 30 years. We are primarily based in Timaru but are responsible for the geographical areas of the McKenzie District, North Otago, South and Mid- Canterbury. We are currently partially contracted by the MSD and the MOJ to provide 24 hour, 7 days safe emergency housing, 24 hour, 7 days access to crisis line, DVA approved Individual and group programmes for adults, children and young people victims of DV, Family support and advocacy services, Social work support, and Rural outreach. Anybody who is living with or affected by family violence is entitled to access our services or any concerned citizen is able to contact us for advice / information, or information is available from numerous Government, NGO’s, Social and other agencies and organizations within our geographical area.
