Loch Lomond Freedom Center
The Loch Lomond Freedom Center is a community pantry, giving free food and household items. Our vision is to love people by helping them get freedom from their needs of hunger and poverty. We started in the fall of 2017, planning to distribute food once per month. We were amazed at the turnout and quickly had to adjust our schedule to distribute every other Monday evening. Currently 50-100 families (representing 200-500 people) come every other Monday to get free groceries and produce. A few months in, we started collecting blankets, clothing & other household items and now also give those items away free of charge on Mondays during distribution. We are grateful to be an approved partner site of the Capital Area Food Bank. We are making a difference.
