Through ImpactClub®, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine” and have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning a high-stakes competition. As a result, ImpactClub®, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.
The Charities
Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear provides case management and transitional housing for victims of domestic violence and emergency shelter to homeless families with children; while giving them resources and skills vital to regaining and maintaining financial independence.
Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard serves those who are hungry through the distribution of emergency food. This service is provided by volunteers in partnership with the community, without regard to race or religion, and with care to preserve the dignity of the individuals being served.
The Carousel Center opened its doors due to the efforts of the Wilmington Junior League, NHRMC ED, local county DSSes, DAs, and the Rape Crisis Center of Coastal Horizons. This collaboration of community professionals recognized that child abuse victims have special service needs, both to address medical needs and preserve forensic evidence.
