Highlands: Donates $11, 200

Through Impact Club, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, Impact Club, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.

The Charities

YoungLives
Kerri Apple
The Value of Real Love

YoungLives is a non-denominational relational outreach ministry to teen moms. We enter into the world of a specific group of adolescents who are so often left out and overlooked in hopes of being able to share the love of Jesus Christ with them. There are teen moms across the Upper Cumberland who are desperate for love to walk into their cafeterias, their doctor’s appointments, their homes… their lives. YoungLives is doing just that and changing generations along the way. We are reaching out to young women who have never experienced the real love of Christ.

Food To The Rescue
Katelyn Steakley
No Hungry Child Left Behind

Food to the Rescue was the vision of Local Community Activist, Ashley Swann. After learning there were children who do not eat while on school breaks she knew she had to do something. With that Food to the Rescue was born. The multi-denominational Christian organization is now comprised of local churches, business, and citizens of Putnam County working together to make sure no child the community is hungry. The program officially launched with 8 families in the summer of 2017 and quickly grew to over 350 children by the years end.

Imagination Library
Paulette Witt
Books of Hopes and Dreams

Children born in Putnam County since the summer of 2005 have been eligible to receive a book each month until their fifth birthday, delivered to their family’s mailbox with their name on it, ensuring a personal library of 60 books by age five! 2005 is when the Putnam County Chapter of the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library began in our community. It is through the various foundation and governmental efforts, in partnership with the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, that make “free to every child from birth to five” possible.
