Our Story

The mission of Welcome Home Angel is to bring joy to children with health or life altering conditions and relief to their families by creating happier and more functional living spaces. Welcome Home Angel serves children in New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick Counties with chronic illness, physically debilitating injuries, and significant developmental disabilities. We accomplish this work by renovating the child’s bedroom (and sometimes other living spaces, depending upon need), including both aesthetic and therapeutic improvements. Our makeover of each child’s living space(s) creates a healthy and cheerful environment in which to live and thrive. Welcome Home Angel works with both non-professional volunteer teams and professional Interior Designers and Contractors to ensure that all makeovers are aesthetically pleasing, but also more functional, safer, and more conducive to social interaction and learning, for these children who often spend most of their days at home alone.
