Our Story

The Safe Ride Foundation is Frederick County’s only anti-drunk driving nonprofit organization. Creators of the SOS Safe Ride program, or “SOS”, we believe that there is zero justification for driving while intoxicated; and on a daily basis, we initiate a call-to-arms for the people in our community who believe the same thing. We confront this completely preventable act by addressing it from all angles including education, rehabilitation, victim relief, and most prominently, the elimination of excuses. Since our inception in 2015, we have successfully prevented over 14,000 DUIs in Frederick County, doing our part to cultivate a community that thinks twice before getting behind the wheel. We fight to make sure that there are no more victims, and we invite the citizens of Frederick County to fight with us.
