Our Story

The history, mission, and purpose of The Empowerment Center (TEC) is rich and inspiring. Over 10 years ago, Founder Tiffany Baker opened the doors of TEC for the purpose of building resiliency for youth and families within our communities to help them overcome challenges, discover the best of themselves and create healthier, happier patterns of living. This mission was born when she adopted her two younger sisters at age 18, to break the cycle of dysfunction within their family. today, Tiffany and a team of over 15 professional volunteers, provide training to youth and families, with an emphasis on at-risk youth, throughout southwest Riverside County. This service is needed, as there were 5,063 substantiated cases of child abuse within the county in 2016 alone.
