Our Story

Project Understanding Feeds the Hungry, with our state of the art pantry feeding 1400 families per month. House the Homeless with our H2H program. We enabled 125 people to get off the streets and into housing and programs. Educate our Youth with our 12 tutoring centers throughout Ventura County tutoring 450 students per month. We are also in charge of the Tenderlife Program for pregnant homeless women. This year we gave birth to 6 healthy babies in our home in Ventura. Project Understanding was on the front lines during the Thomas Fire distributing food, water, clothing, toiletries, blankets and other life essentials. Our Thanksgiving program will supply upwards of 400 turkey dinners and our adopt a family for Christmas is already in full swing.
