Our Story
For almost ten years, New Day for Children has provided long-term care and education to American girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking. In addition to schooling, the girls live in a community with our teams and with one another, participate in various outdoor adventures and activities, and go on special outings. New Day’s girls work with licensed therapists and have the option of engaging in on-site therapy with their respective families. They even engage in a highly regarded horse therapy program that demonstrably impacts the girls’ mental and physical well-being. We currently serve girls, ages 10-18, from a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Many of our residents are celebrating completion of the program and reaching goals that allow them to have home visitations with families or continue their education under the guidance of their parents. Some girls have celebrated high school graduation and are beginning college or entering life skills development programs. At New Day for Children, our girls do not “age out” of our care. Though they may leave campus in pursuit of new goals, we provide them the necessary support to help achieve their dreams. Every girl who comes through our doors leaves with a very special extended family.
