Our Story

A community supported nonprofit founded in 1996, Land Trust of the Treasure Valley works with private landowners, neighbors, and public agencies to conserve open space. We protect and restore natural areas, acquire land and easements, and introduce people of all ages to the outdoors. Our 2020 theme is Growth. Community programs, new conservation projects, better stewardship of our protected lands, and partnerships with schools, agencies and other nonprofits must increase to balance the the Treasure Valley’s population growth. Whether it’s conserving open spaces, fostering connections with wildlife and native plants, or keeping farm lands productive for future generations, our work must continue to thrive.
