Our Story

The Idaho Youth Sports Commission began about three years ago with a purpose to shift the culture in youth sports. We want Idaho to be the state that provides the best youth sports experience in the country. We believe in developing not just better players but to the greater purpose of better people. With education and training through the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), we present workshops to coaches, parents, and athletes to provide a positive and character building experience in youth sports that will last a lifetime. In addition to the PCA workshops, we host a free event for kids called the Jake Plummer Challenge. The challenge is a unique event where kids come to play out of the box sports with the goal to have a blast, create, and develop skills that crossover to conventional sports. We strive for free unstructured play. Pop up Play is spin off the Plummer Challenge where one night a week in the summer, we do the same thing in a shortened time frame. We recently added a secondary mission to help the underprivileged with league fees and equipment. They need sports the most!
