Our Story

Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County is a nonprofit organization that provides young people with a Club of their own. We provide quality after-school and summer programs in a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment. We have full-time Leaders supplemented by part-time Youth Development Professionals all of who help guide our Club Members. Throughout the pandemic, our doors have stayed open for children of essential workers, children who need extra help with virtual learning, and children who need a stable place to go to be safe and feel supported. Many will say that our Clubs have been the only “normal” thing in the lives of the youth we serve. Another interesting fact is that nearly all of the youth we serve are attending on a full or partial scholarship. We are passionate about meeting them directly where they are because we know how important the Boys & Girls Club is in helping them achieve great futures. Every kid has what it takes to reach their full potential!
