Our Story
Adventure! Children’s Museum was founded four years ago by a team of passionate parents dedicated to bringing a children’s museum experience to the kids of Lane County. First operating with traveling exhibits, the 501c3 nonprofit organization visited dozens of fairs and festivals in the Eugene/Springfield area before finding an 11,000-square-foot space in a local mall. For the past three years, Adventure! Has operated the children’s museum with primarily hand-built exhibits created using majority recycled and reclaimed materials. We have partnered with local organizations like WellMama, EC Cares, Baby Boot Camp, Little Hands Can, and more to create a community support system for parents and families, and have hosted numerous classes, day camps, clubs, and events for kids from age 2 to 13. We have been closed for seven months due to coronavirus mandates, and are currently continuing to serve our community through socially-distanced community activities, craft kits with video instruction, and other activities as permitted. We are interested in continuing to be a destination for families around Lane County and visiting from beyond, as soon as conditions allow. Our goal is to continue making a positive impact in our community and to help kids grow into artists, innovators and explorers.
