Our Story

5 Loaves Food Pantry was started in 2011, by members of Vine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church giving food to 6 families once a month. We have worked hard to be a hub for our community. We not only hand out food weekly, we also offer other assistance to the community. We hand out clothes, over the counter medicine, and hygiene products. 5 Loaves Food Pantry has numerous classes throughout the year including CPR / First Aide, Disaster Preparedness, and cooking classes. There is a shower room and a laundry room for the homeless or anyone in need of those services. Also, in 2015 when our community was hit with a natural disaster, we were able to step in and be a distribution center for meals, food, and water, we also provided sleeping quarters for volunteers during that time. Today in 2018 we serve as many as 180 families per week. In 2019 we will start offering computer classes and help with job searches and resumes. with wi-fi access for after hour needs.
