Union City: Donates $4,700

Through Impact Club, as Impact Venture Capitalists, we invest heavily in local charities that demonstrate a powerful “Story Engine,” and, have proven their willingness to fight for their cause – by competing in and winning, a high-stakes competition. As a result, Impact Club, through Impact Venture Capitalism, has dramatically multiplied the Impact that a single person can have on charities in their local community.

The Charities

The Grateful Garment Project
Katie McClelland
Clothed in Dignity

The Grateful Garment Project is a non-profit organization with a mission to ensure that every victim of a sexual crime who seeks medical attention or law enforcement involvement is provided with whatever new clothing, toiletries, snacks and other items that he or she may require. When a victim of sexual assault enters a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) facility for an examination, they are often required to surrender their clothing for forensic evidence. This can leave victims with nothing to wear home except a hospital gown, inflicting further suffering.

Pathways To Success

New Haven Schools Foundation believes education has the power to change lives. Children are our future, and a rich educational experience is critical to their success. We make exceptional student programs possible by providing support at every grade level and in every school in the New Haven Unified School District. Our “Pathways to Success” scholarship program will grant $135,000 in aid to graduating seniors of the class of 2018, enabling many phenomenal students to attend college who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
