Matthew 25: Ministries began as the result of a trip Founder Reverend Wendell Mettey made with a group of doctors and nurses to Nicaragua in 1990. Upon leaving, Pastor Mettey committed to finding a way to help the people of Nicaragua. Over the years, Matthew 25’s distribution activities have expanded to include more than 60 partners in Greater Cincinnati as well as partners throughout the US and the world. Matthew 25 distributes over 16,000,000 pounds of products and helps more than 20,000,000 people each year. Matthew 25 distributed almost 400,000 pounds of aid in Greater Cincinnati in 2018 including: 113,000 pounds of food to 43 local pantries and shelters, 15,000 pounds of disaster relief supplies to victims of Ohio River flooding, 8,600 coats to the needy and homeless in our local community, 300 new blankets and 1,000 personal care kits to 10 homeless and residential shelters, Diabetic supplies, blood pressure cuffs, first aid items, walkers, wheelchairs and orthopedic items to local partners for individual beneficiary needs, Micronutrient supplements, clothing, hygiene items, baby supplies, educational materials, paint and more to members of the Greater Cincinnati community. Matthew 25: Ministries has welcomed more than 63,000 volunteers in 2018.
